I always try to take a trip down to Duncan to photograph the Cowichan River with its golden cottonwoods along the river bank.
Yesterday there were many salmon making their way upstream to spawn and within a few weeks their carcasses will wash back down into the river estuary for the Eagles to come and feed on.
Nature not only puts on a beautiful show but the yearly renewal of life is always a spectacle...
