Scoring

Phil_FG David Akers 45, 2:27

Oak_Zach Miller 86-yard touchdown from JaMarcus Russell (Sebastian
Janikowski kicks PAT), 2:06

Notes:

– Raiders bid to go up 14-3 taken away when Stanford Routt’s
interception and touchdown called back for pass interference. Raiders
also get unsportsmanlike conduct on bench area. Eagles at Oakland 43
when quarter ends.

– A routine pass play on first down gets the Raiders a spectacular
result _ an 86-yard touchdown play from Russell to Miller. Louis Murphy
threw two key blocks, the first on Quinten Mickell, the second on Ellis
Hobbs.

– DeSean Jackson stretches out for 51 yard strike from McNabb against
Chris Johnson. Eagles get little else, settle for 45-yard Akers field
goal. Blitzing Thomas Howard forces third-and-2 incompletion.

– Another possession, no first downs, Russell throws 5-yard gain to Todd
Watkins on third-and-6. Shane Lechler punts Eagles back to the 11 _
smart move to punt, given play of Raiders defense so far.

– Raiders turnover doesn’t convert to Eagles points. Eagles can’t get
first down, David Akers misses 43-yard field goal attempt. Nnamdi
Asomugha not on field when McNabb throws incomplete into end zone.
Trainers talking with him behind bench.

– Russell’s first down pass to Louis Murphy off target, it bounces off
his hands high in air, Asante Samuel intercepts at the 29-yard line.

– Two series, two Trevor Scott sacks. This one on third-and-12, McNabb
forced up in pocket by Greg Ellis, Scott gets him from other side.
Raiders survive “explosive” play _ McNabb swing to Bryant Westbrook for
22 yards on first down.

– Second possession another three-and-out for Oakland. A foregone
conclusion after Trent Cole sacked Russell on first-and-10, running
through attempted block of 215-pound fullback Gary Russell.

– Who says Raiders don’t blitz. Trevor gets his first sack, with Thomas
Howard close behind, as Eagles go three-and-out on first possession.

– Raiders first series. Pass to G. Russell, no gain. Pass slightly
behind DHB, can’t hold, near pick. Bush runs for four yards. Punt.

– The Raiders ran on the field as a team rather than be introduced
individually. Can’t blame ‘em. It’s been a team effort through and through.

– Linebackers Kirk Morrison and Thomas Howard and Kirk Morrison executed
“Black Hole” leaps before the Raiders ran on to the field en masse.
Neither was impaled by shoulder spikes.

Scoring

Oak_Sebastian Janikowski 29-yard field goal, 7:50

Phil_David Akers, 43-yard field goal, :06

Notes:

– Half ends, Raiders are cheered with four-point lead and administering
a physical beating to Eagles.

– Zach Miller ended first half with four catches for 125 yards, the
latter a career high.

– Donovan McNabb drives Eagles to the 15 with 27 seconds to
playfollowing turnover. Eagles get delay of game to the 20. Wanted to
call time, didn’t have one left. Richard Seymour gets the gets his
second sack and Raiders fourth, Eagles settle for 43-yard field goal by
Akers.

– JaMarcus Russell completes 7-yard first down pass to Tony Stewart for
first down, but then telegraphs lob to Zach Miller at 2-minute warning
for his second interception. Eagles return to the 40-yard line with 1:53
left in the half.

– Raiders survive another big play (the pass to Westbrook) because
defensive line is overpowering Eagles. Richard Seymour sacks McNabb for
8-yard loss to force punt intead of field goal attempt. Eagles punt into
end zone.

– Under big pressure, Donovan McNabb gets big yards with dumpoff to
Brian Westbrook. Eagles get 43 yards to the 27-yard line.

– Raiders open at 13 yards line and drive deep into Eagles territory,
two passes to Zach Miller, two first-down runs by Justin Fargas. Louis
Murphy draws an unnecessary roughness penalty on Asante Samuel, shoving
him, with official catching Samuels’ retaliation.

Third-and-9 reverse to Darrius Heyward-Bey fails to gain a yard.
Janikowski’s 29-yard field goal attempt is good. Raiders lead 10-3.

– Raiders force Eagles punt with 14:51 left in quarter. Giving up points
or TD following Routt penalty would have been huge.

Another blitz pays off _ Tyvon Branch forces McNabb incompletion on
third-and-10.

No scoring

Notes:

– Raiders work their way to the 41-yard line as quarter ends. Justin
Fargas has 73 yards on 13 carries. Raiders top rushing performance of season

– Raiders force Eagles three-and-out, McNabb missing third and
fourth-down passes. He’s starting to get a little more time, however.
Johnnie Lee Higgins mishandles punt, but runs out of bounds at the
Oakland 18 with possession.

– Eagles open at the 25-yard line with fans growing restless. The
Raiders need a big play, either a TD on offense or defense, or they’re
looking at another San Diego scenario.

– Raiders get a pair of first downs but are forced to punt to Philly,
which takes over with 3:18 left in the quarter.

– Fifth sack of McNabb _ this one by Jay Richardson for 14 yards _
torpedoes Eagles possession with good field position following
fourth-down gamble.

– Raiders get bold on fourth-and-1 at 40 and go for it. Russell
play-fakes, rolls right, has Murphy open for big gain . . . and misses
him. Ball hits the ground, Eagles take possession. Must be the play-caller.

– Eagles drive to Raiders with first possession of second half before
Oakland defense stiffens, David Akers misses second field goal attempt,
this time from 47 yards.

Scoring

Oak_Sebastian Janikowski 46-yard field goal, 10:25

Phil_David Akers 45-yard field goal, 6:06

Notes:

– JaMarcus Russell to Gary Russell for the third time gains 12, brings
up 2-minute warning. Eagles have no time outs. Big, big first down.
Raiders look to kill clock. Snap and kneel. Eagles get personal foul,
Darren Howard, puts ball at Eagles first down at 32. It’s over.

Russell taking a knee. Will do it again and Raiders are 2-4.

– Eagles gain 8, 11 and 11 first three plays, defense backing off,
before McNabb throws incomplete. Eagles second-and-10 at the 50-yard
line. Eagles can’t get anything until McNabb scrambles for six on
third-and-10, bringing up fourth-and-4 with 2:21 left.

McNabb’s fourth-down throw to DeSean Jackson arrives on a short-hop.
Raiders take over with 2:21 left.

– JaMarcus Russell to Gary Russell again, 19 yards on first-and-10 on
first drive following Eagles FG. Raiders can’t get another first down.
Russell incomplete on third-and-7, clock stops at 3:49, Eagles take over
at 3:42 at own 20.

– Raiders need another stand. McNabb’s 42-yard pass to Brent Celek over
Thomas Howard, Tyvon Branch gives them first-and-10 at 27. McNabb throws
incomplete twice, bringing up third-and-10. Chris Johnson crushes
Leonard Weaver on safety valve pass for no gain. Do Eagles bring out
David Akers, who has missed two field goal attempts?

Yes, he makes it with 6:06 left.

– Raiders nearly turn the ball over on consecutive plays _ forward
progress before a Fargas fumble, pass to Murphy nearly picked. Russell
throws incomplete to Miller in double coverage, Miller can’t come with
the ball or a flag. Still eight minutes left at time of Lechler punt.

– Another three-and-out by Eagles with Thomas Howard, Kirk Morrison
delivering sack No. 6. Raiders get lucky, Higgins fumbles punt return,
jumps on it. Raiders can seize the moment with touchdown don this drive.

– Raiders drive to Eagles 28-yard line after 18-yard screen from
JaMarcus Russell to Gary Russell and some tough running by Fargas.

However, on third-and-7 (after two short Fargas runs), Russell can’t
find a receiver, throws it away, and gets lecture about open receiver
from Tom Cable as he comes to sideline. Janikowski converts field goal
with 10:25 remaining.

A 32-yard, seven play drive gives Oakland 298 yards in total offense.

– Eagles possession at own 14 gains zero yards in excelllent Raiders
defensive effort. Tyvon Branch breaks up McNabb pass for Westbrook,
Westbrook dropped for no gain by Thomas Howard, McNabb misses deep.
Raiders open with 13:27 left at own 40.

– Russell is sacked on the first play of the fourth quarter and Lechler
punts Eagles inside the 20, but offense really needs to do something.
