The shaggy long-haired Bear Monkey is a subspecies of the endemic Purple-faced Leaf Monkey which is adapted to the cold of the Sri Lankan Highlands where it lives in cloud forest and montane evergreen forests.
Apologies for this poor quality image which was taken through the vehicle window. The monkey quickly moved on when we got out of the mini-bus!
