10 October - What to do...

... when the blinkin ladybird won't keep still & is totally OOF!!
Fractilius it of course! ;O)

Decision day today!! My Smugmug trial expired! And I let it!
I sent an email asking them to provide

1. UK based printer
2. A way to respond to peoples comments via email system
3. A way to use html to link other photos to posted photos

Got this email back within an hour:

Hi Nicky,

Thanks for the email.

We understand the difficulties of running a UK based company and having to work in dollars and print in the states.
We hope to have these options available sometime in the future, so keep your eyes peeled!

Please feel free to get back to us with any additional questions or concerns that you may have.
Remember, that if you ever choose to come back to SmugMug, we're here to help you get your site
looking and acting just the way you want, so let us know!

All the best,
-Oliver

Soo beautiful, i love this software, this has turned out perfect!
So glad your back hun, you cant beat pbase community!

you can check out of Pbase, but you can never leave ....
Cindi Smith11-Oct-2009 01:12
I'm keeping both too for a while. I like your shot and glad you decided to stay here since I hang out here more than SM.
laine10-Oct-2009 23:06
I'm keeping both...but having seen SM I'm thinking less bells & whistles is not such a bad thing....in life we sometimes can't always have what we want. I guess a handful of pbasers did not have the rope required to pull at SM.
I don't have a speed issue here, never have since I opened my second account. My older, larger one takes time to open after logging in so I simply don't log out...problem sol....vered.

Yay :o)) My last day is tomorrow. But I don't think you should electrocute ladybirds just 'cos SmugMug won't give you what you want. :o)

Glad you've decided to stay. And if you hadn't told us the secret behind your pic we'd never have guessed.
Scott Browne10-Oct-2009 18:49
Glad you'll still be around! And yes, I really want a combination of PB and SM. The best of both worlds.

I wonder if he threat of the mass walk away has given PBase a kick. Probably not. Still its a great community and I always get plenty of hints and tips to improve. Nice Lady Bird shot Nicky, very laste for it. I got a picture of a Poppy today, whats happening .
