4945 Bob's Chickadee

Kensington Metro Park

Looking at this pic, I felt like I look like some kind of religious statue. I was just frozen in the special moment and wanted Judy to take a photo!
I immediately think of the big statue over Rio (Christ the Redeemer) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ_the_Redeemer_(statue)
or Saint Francis of Assisi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_of_Assisi .
I prefer the latter interpretation because the hands are appropriately upturned welcoming the birds (he was the parton saint for animals and had a "special thing" for birds), whereas in Rio the hands are downturned, enfolding the flock of humanity ("not my job"!).
Having a "bird in hand" is a religious experience no matter what vision comes to mind! Truly blessed are the meek and welcoming!

Hi Bob, Thanks for the picture. The only chickadee we have at our house is the mountain chickadee. Bill.
