The Rosberg's Department store, once the anchor of downtown
Niagara Falls was destroyed by fire in the early morning hours
of October 4, 2009.

Open originally in the early 1900's and subsequently closed in 1988,
the store had remained vacant since that time.

Fire shot through the roof and ultimately all 3 floors collapsed onto
themselves.

A Niagara Falls icon is gone.
