Playtime

Spent the day at Shildon railway Museum today. They had an exhibition on with lots of model railway stalls. Nothing really changes much. Time may have moved on but the boxes of colourful trains,cars and buses had my seven year old and his cousin facinated for hours. Who needs an X Box.

It's good to see so many stacked up and getting knocked about, glad to these ones aren't still in the box as collectors items. There is something sad about a toy not getting played with.

They make a brilliant picture - well seen! I realised very young that life would be hard when a friend had a big Corgi coach with lights inside. My mother never did buy me one and I've never got over it!
