Sprout

Cheltenham, Glos

Rummaging around amongst the veg, I spotted these tiny sprouts on the stalk. Soon they'll be all grown up, picked and cooked to destruction at Christmas...can't wait!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - for all you Nikonistas out there this lens is a beaut! Other than a spot of sharpening, this image is 'as is' straight out of the camera, this lens never fails to amaze me with its image quality and responsiveness...one of my better photographic choices :o)

The angles and colour work well here.

Oh, it is too early to think about it, but I have to admit, I have some of my shopping already done! Love the shot but I am a Canon girl too!

Agree with JJ - they should already be stewing in the pan!!

A slugs eye view of your spouts. Great close-up.

They really need to be cooking now to be ready for Christmas.

Great lighting in the depths of the mysterious vegetable forest. A super shot Doug. "V"
I just purchased the 85mm f/1.8 yesterday and have the 28mm f/2.8 on order (as per your expert advice and my birthday is coming up). I think I will be "reverting" to shooting more with fixed primes and will try to get away from the zooms.

The lighting and green color are awesome.. I'm Nikon girl also.

Brussel sprouts... love them or hate them (I love them!), and aren't they cute as babies! Wonderful green color.

that is a good choice of focal length, and it seems to deliver too....just picked up the 35mm f/2D...your shot inspires to revert to a fixed prime...V

Don't tell me C... is coming around ....again! I prefer long focals.... I must be shy. ;)

For mentioning the 'C' word.....
go to the back of the class and don't move until January...

Love the sprouts by the way. ;o)

I'm a Canon girl too! The greens are beautiful - such rich shades of green. Speaking of green, just 100 shopping days till Christmas. Bah hum-bug!

I refuse to acknowledge Chr, Chr, Chr...see I can't even say it this side of November ;)

Love those dear little sprouts, which I adore eating when they grow into bigger kids.
I agree you have a beaut lens, though my heart belongs to Canon !!
