The woodcutter wisely wears leg protection; chainsaw wounds are vicious, and an injured worker alone in the woods could bleed out quickly.

The power of this photograph is in its poignant contrast: A man goes about the necessary workaday chores of winter wood harvest in a copse of breath-taking beauty; it is purpose in the midst of no-purpose. Or, does the "beauty" of one's workplace affect one's work after all?

Interesting image, Sharon. What is that sort of rig used for? There doesn't seem to be much room but for a single passenger and I don't really see any hitches for adding carts or wagons behind.
