On our fourth day in Cooke City, Steve and I woke up at 5:30 to take a hike from Island Lake (located right off the Beartooth highway). We intended to hike to at least Becker Lake (8 miles RT) and ended up continuing to Albino Lake. Since part of the hike was on unofficial trail, we weren't sure of the exact mileage, but estimate it was maybe 11-12 miles round trip.

Here Steve is on the trail that parallels the western shore of Island Lake.
