On our third day, Steve and Dad set out for some early morning fishing on Soda Butte Creek in Yellowstone. Unfortunately, they didn't know at the time that the fish don't bite until later on Soda Butte. They also tried their hand at Trout Lake, also in Yellowstone and accessible by a steep half mile hike. The book says this lake has an abundance of trout, but they aren't easy to catch. On this particular visit Steve and Dad were outfished by the otters (another otter sighting!).
