Iceland Gull (center) with Herring Gulls

Andrew Haydon Park, Ottawa

While gull-watching at Andrew Haydon Park I noticed one gull with gray and white wing-tips instead of the black and white wing-tips of the Herring and Ring-billed Gulls
roosting on the ice. This is characteristic of an adult Iceland Gull, one of the regular "white-winged" gull species that shows up here in Ottawa in the winter.
