I had to head to Best Buy today after work to try to locate another MyBook drive. I am running out of room on my Mac Book Pro, I can free up 50 Gigs, by copying out a few months photos from 2007 to an external drive, however, my external drive is also running out of space. I want to get Snow Leopard as well, but I need some extra space on my MBP. Oh what a vicious circle! Well, Best Buy had the same crappy selection of MyBooks as Staples, which is to say that I haven't gotten another drive yet. I am a bit picky, I want another FireWire 800 drive so I can daisy chain it into my existing drive (lets keep it simple, right?). Problem is, I can't find a FireWire 800 locally, WTF? So I am pulling out of the mall area, thinking that the clouds would make a great background, when I pass by McDonald's. I was in the left lane, I did a "tourist right turn" cutting off a few people in the process (I am on my bike here also) and made it into the parking lot. I was still in my motorcycle gear, standing in front of McDonald's working on this shot. I provided plenty of entertainment for the patrons, I am sure. My son noticed the photo on his way to bed and shouted "McDonald's". This is a familiar icon, we all know it.
