Bronze Copper (Lycaena hyllus)

St. Albert Sewage Lagoons

These butterflies are easily found around sewage lagoons where their host plants are commonly found. I saw several today on my tour
of the sewage lagoons east of Ottawa. Until a week ago, I had never seen this species before when I saw my first one at Mud Lake!
