Chequamegon National Forest southwest of Clam Lake, northeast Sawyer County, 11 June 2009
This female Spruce Grouse was not happy with me when I stumbled upon her and 1+ tiny chicks. She attacked my feet at first and then just chased me around a bit. Photography was a bit tough due to overcast skies and her being too close!
