M-16 (below) and M-17

North of the constellation Sagittarius are two bright emission nebula, M-16 (bottom) and M-17, also known as the Eagle and Swan Nebulas. M-16 is famous for being photographed in astounding detail by the Hubble Space Telescope, which produced the popular photo that has been dubbed "Pillars of Creation". This image is a 45-minute exposure using E200 film and Hasselblad 500 C/M with a 350mm f/5.6 lens.

The star colours are fantastic - the gold and blues. Good job.
