At home

An intentional complimentary color low light shot I had wanted to take of my cat. She was sitting in front of the TV, which was the only light source in the room, while the kitchen light was on in the background. The warm yellow glow of the kitchen played nicely against the cold TV light on the cat. Handheld, using fast lens (Minolta 50mm F1.7) and ISO1600.

This shot had an immediate impact, looking at the thumbnail I wanted to see what the image was. It's a clever use of light and your model:) The sharpness of the whiskers and the catchlights in the eyes draw my attention to the centre of the picture. It's also an excellent use of dof. Technically the only suggestion I can make is that I would have squared up the vertical lines in the background. Karel
