On my way back home, I stopped at a park near Tom's house, where there are often huge swarms of darners feeding on flying insects in the late afternoon until dusk. From top to bottom: female Mottled Darner (Aeshna clepsydra), male Lance-tipped Darner (Aeshna constricta), and male Canada Darner (Aeshna canadensis).
