Williamson's Sapsucker, juvenile male

Upper Red Rock Lake Campground, Centennial Valley, Montana

The barely visible throat is white rather than red, which makes this a juvenile. According to the Red Rock Lakes NWR bird list, this species is only occasional in the Centennial Valley.
