The Loch Leman Monster is a creature believed to inhabit Loch Leman in the Swiss Highlands.
It is similar to other supposed lake monsters elsewhere,
though its description varies from one account to the next.
Popular interest and belief in the animal has fluctuated
since it was brought to the world's attention.
Evidence of its existence is anecdotal, with minimal and much disputed photographic material.
Here I’m proud to display the only real and authentic photo of “Lemmie”,
as the monster of Loch Leman is informally called.
The photo was taken in 1904
and it shows my husband’s great-grandfather approaching bravely the Monster.
