The ice blocks here contain a fair amount of air bubbles. As they melt in the summer the air bubbles are released. The collective sound of (millions) air bubbles being released is something else. As soon as the on-board motor of the engine was turned off, the whole experience became unreal. That sound, the grey sky, the cold air and the almost monochrome landscape make this experience so unique.
