Henry Ford, the automobile magnate, built this dam in our Boston suburb to provide a pond for his summer estate, There wasn't enough water, so the "pond" is usually dry, but the dam still stands. It used to be possible to drive out onto it if you were extremely careful. Some vandals did that with a yellow sports car and then pushed it off. Here it still lies, patiently rusting away.
