Desert Spiny Lizard --- Really Spiny

Sabino Canyon

Sceloporus magister

I am not sure what motivated this lizard to get to this spot. This certainly wouldn't be the place I would pick to hang out! This lizard was very much alive and looked to be ok with the situation. I did move around to catch a shot from the other side which can be seen below.
