I have often used my Prada black nylon purse for a camera bag on trips because of its light weight.
I use an old LowePro insert which fits inside and holds my dSLR / lens.
It is actually the same dimensions as the Hadley Pro, but the HP is slimmer profile, but the Prada is "squashable".
