Female White-fronted (aka white-faced) Capuchins reach sexual maturity at 3 to 4 years of age, then give birth at 1 to 2 year intervals. Most births occur during the dry season. Young cling to the mother's fur immediately following birth, and are carried by the mothers for 5 to 6 months, until they can travel on their own. The duration of pregnancy is about 180 days. Capuchins can live up to 46 years in captivity.
