As you can see, the sun is blurred although the rest of the image is sharp. This effect was caused by a sheet of rain passing across
the Isle of Harris hills you see in the photo, between where we were standing on the north-west tip of Skye and the setting sun.
This is no Photoshop trickery - image is just as we saw the scene, except resized and sharpened for web and copyright notice added. It was a remarkable sight.
