Next stop was Midnight Hole which I passed earlier on the way to Mouse Creek Falls. Midnight Hole is a spot on Big Creek where the water flow is squeezed between several large boulders. The pool that is formed is very deep and is a popular swimming hole. On a sunny day the water is a beautiful turquoise color. I was hoping for a lot of rhodo blooms here - there were some, but not every bush blooms at the same time and not every one has a lot of blooms each year.
