A photo from what seemed to be THE mating day for frogs in a local wetlands. I had never seen this before... there were actually frog "balls" with up to 20+ individual frogs wrestling for potential mates. This made the "balls" be over a foot across. There were frog eggs everywhere and the sound was deafening.
Then there was this lovely quiet couple off to one side all by their lonesome. My guess is that the red one is the female and the smaller green on the male. No? Please let me know if you have any more details on these "events".
