07/02/09 - Sinuous Curve in Infrared

Made entirely in-camera with an IR converted Nikon D70.
It's fairly easy to make a good image if there's a sinuous curve at hand. Once you've decided how to use it, the job is almost done. Almost the utmost in simplicity as the curve becomes the image and the surroundings are just context - if you are able to simplify the composition to that point.

I very much like the dark tone, texture and detail in the curve contrasted with the lighter tones around it. I usually don't see that in IR type images. Sustains my interest.V. Karen O'Hara
