The rim trail is paved, wide and has many benches to rest on or to take time to enjoy the views. As one walks along the trail, it's important to keep an eye on the rocky ledges just below the rim. Frequently, families and groups of big horn sheep can be found sitting in the sun and seeming to enjoy the view as much as the tourists.
