I woke up really early in the morning to cycle to this quaint, isolated church before sunrise. St Oswald’s church was built during the 12th century in the town of Widford. The inviting Cotswold stone building is the only evidence of the medieval village, lost to black plaque during the 17th century. A fine mist blanketed the ground, adding to the tranquillity of this picture postcard scene.
