The pair of pileated woodpeckers have become much more tolerant and cooperative. I can sit out on the patio, which is fairly close to the feeders, and they will come and go quite a bit. This spot on the oak tree is a favorite just before they fly over to the feeder. It's obvious by the amount of bark that has been stripped from the tree. For this shot I just sat out in the open on the patio with my camera pointed to the spot.
