Empty now, but come Fall and the big Buffalo round-up, these pens will
be filled with buffalo. They will get medical treatments needed;
vaccinations; branded; and, many will be sold. Rumor has it,
the State of SD will not sell as many this year as they have in past
years. Previous years drought conditions forced a high number of bison
to be sold. 2009 brings more water; and thus, more buffalo can live
happily in the hills.
