In my younger days I didn't like visiting graveyards, I wasn't scared of the horror that lay
beneath, like some, more just that I thought they were morose, depressing places. As I've grown, I realise
they're not all that bad - it's not about the death of someone, more that they're places to go and
remember people. Give thanks for all that they brought to your life.
St Meddens Kirkyard's different, there's Graves here from the ancient right through to the modern
times. And other than the airtraffic screaming in overhead, it's one of the prettiest kirkyards I've
been. Blanketed with spring flowers and bluebells!
