Judy just loves "kissing birds". She is a romantic! There is something in the mouth of the "passer" (is this where passerine comes from - like in the passerine, and the passer-at?) but I never saw a transfer - though they did "break" and resume a few times. I have learned this is a "love offering" (i.e., courtship behavior), male and female waxwings pass the morsel back and forth a few times, then the female eats it.
