I suggested starting Saturday with Spruce Flats Falls in the Tremont area of the Smokies. Today was supposed to be mostly sunny and I was hoping the falls would be in a cove where the sun didn't reach until late morning. Like anywhere in the Smokies during tourist season, go early before the herds arrive. Tourists generally don't get out before 9am. We got to this waterfall just before 9 and had it all to ourselves for a couple of hours.
