My spelling may be off a bit but this is a member of the Bulbophyllum family. The half flower appearance is real.
The other half is actually there but evolution has hindered it's growth for some reason. The flower has no detectable fragrance.
Hi Selvin! Haven't visited you site in awhile. Glad to see you are still clicking away. About this flower...there are two similar but different flowers in Hawaii. One grows near the ocean and one growns near the mountains. They are differnt colors. I don't know the Hawaiian name but will ask my sis-in-law. I remember her talking about it once. Hey, keep up the great work! One day we are going to meet somewhere while taking pictures!
