I saw several of these beautiful birds in the tree and at first I thought they were doves, after checking I found out that they're Band-tailed Pigeons. Band-tailed Pigeon Facts: inhabits the coastal woodlands of the Pacific coast and the mountains of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. In its U.S. and Canadian breeding range it has shown a steady decline of 2.5% since the 1960's but the reasons for the decline are not well-understood.
