Small Blue Butterfly

Vancouver Island, BC

After checking with others, I believe this is a Western Spring Azure Butterfly. Small means 'tiny', with a very small wingspan(.5 to 1 inch). There were four of them and I've got to say they were harder to shoot than hummingbirds! I got a few shots of individuals, the group shots were invariably out of focus. By the time I was done I was pleased to get anything recognizable. My respect for people who shoot butterflies on a regular basis has gone up 100%!

This is a beautiful image and I can appreciate how difficult it was to capture! Those butterflies seldom keep still
