Two bull moose come together in an aspen forest in October. It looked very friendly until they started to fight. I was hidden behind a very large tree and caught the scene with a short lens, but then backed off slowly when they looked toward me. I still have stitch marks from an encounter with a bull moose several years ago. They can appear very placid and calm, but I learned that being eager to get a close shot without a good long lens can be very dangerous.
