I like the "fuzzy" look with totally sharp eyes. This works for me, as cats are creatures of motion, unless of course they're napping. ")

Cats are a tough subject, and 1/60s might be a little slow if the nose was twitching at all. A little more DOF to have gotten both eyes sharp would've been nice, but it's still a fun shot of a great feline face.

That's about as narrow of a DOF as I've seen! Still and interesting shot.

Nice sharpness of those beautiful eyes. Color is great. The nose blur and blur to the right makes it took like she is nodding her head.

Disconcerting is the word I'd use as well

It's a nice shot of your pretty kitty, the out of focus nose looks not quite right, some movement fuzz perhaps?
Guest 20-May-2009 15:12
DOF very shallow, very noticeable camera or subject movement.

I like the cat's intent gaze & the sharp focus on it's eyes, but it appears that it's whiskers moved & that's a bit disconcerting to me (just my personal opinion of course)

Nice shot but, for me, the nose being out of focus spoils it - just personal preference, but another aperture stop?

Very nice closeup, Byrle. I really like the pose you caught. Well Done!
