Gillian was at the FWG last week, on a warm, sunny day and saw a number of neat things. This great blue heron was sitting in the trees by the BYG and she was able to get this great shot. Later on, returning to the BYG, she found the heron still in the tree, but shortly after it flew down to the Arboretum where a second great blue was found.

While at the garden, Gillian also found Nashville warbler, a pair of cardinals, white-crowned sparrows, house finches, tree swallows,red-winged blackbirds, yellow warblers and two black-throated green warblers.
