At 5:51 am the rooster crowed. At 6:45 am, I'm making my coffee and happen to glance out the window. The rooster is peacefully eating under the bird feeder when he straightens up, gets a terrified look on his face and takes off running. Two dogs are chasing him, so I go flying out the door after the dogs. The rooster, two dogs, and me in my summer dress and barefeet bringing up the rear! I finally managed to scare the dogs back into their yard. Ten minutes later the rooster appears and walks straight to the corner where the dogs live. I thought, "This rooster has a death wish." He checked it out and then did a fast chicken walk outta there.
I'm redoubling my efforts to find him a home, before something bad happens to him.
