U8300 and MOAG detail on APM115

San Diego, CA

From back to front:
Apogee Alta U8300 CCD
Apogee Filter Wheel
Astrodon 3" to MMOAG adapter
Astrodon Monster MOAG with Meade DSI Pro II (2x barlow) on helical focuser
Astrodon MMOAG to 2.7"x24TPI Astro Physics thread adapter
Astro Physics 2.7" extension tube
Starlight 3.5" to 2.7"x24TPI adapter
Starlight Feather Touch 3545 focuser (3.5"), made for APM
APM115/805 f/7 APO Refractor

The 2.7" A.P. tube leaves lots of room for the MOAG prism to pick off the edge of the field
without intruding into the optical path to the chip. Viewed through the objective lens,
the prism is never in front of the chip, even from the closer-edge of the lens
(this was not true with the 2.0" tubes and longer prism bracket).

other sizes: small medium large original auto
