Plumbeous Vireo? -- photo 2

Agua Caliente Park, Tucson, AZ

Or Cassin's? Some observers think the hint of color on the underparts supports Cassin's, a common migrant through this area in April. Two experienced California birders were pretty sure this was Plumbeous, which can have a bit of yellow -- too nearly uniform gray for Cassin's. I've tentatively adopted that ID.

Another good clue is bill size (larger in Plumbeous than Cassin's), and this one is definitely on the large side -- so I agree with Plumbeous.

Hi Tom, This looks like a Plumbeous Vireo to me. There were a lot of them in Madera Canyon about 10 days later.
