This baby hawk flew down and landed on the fence by the pool. I was so excited to see it this close. I knew there had been one hatched on my property recently but this was the closest I had gotten to it. I grabbed my camera and then the most amazing thing started to happen. This gutsy little mockingbird starts to attach the hawk and won't give up. She bites him and bashes into him and grabs him with her feet by he just sits there and takes it. The photos are not great but no prep, no tripod and a very anxious photog. Oh well, hope to get another chance to at least capture the hawk close up.
