The Reeve

Just unfurling.
When open the many petalled fragrant blooms stay globular.
The bush has a trailing character, suited to
a low retaining wall or a tall pedestalled urn.
If grown in a normal garden bed, it needs support.
Bred in the UK by Austin, 1979

I remember seeing this rose at Harlow Carr last summer. A lovely photo of it just unfurling.
