THIS is a REAL CATBOAT ! ! !

Built over a 19 month period and launched in 1984.

She was a 25 foot Fenwick Williams design, with a large rig of 650 sq ft and
concave gaff cross-section to eliminate bend when hard on the wind at those
times when a reef should have been tied-in ! !

Beat most all 30 ft+ sloop rigged boats in the area. With the help &
guidance of ol'Colin Ratsey was able to go upwind at a furious pace.

You can see mast hoops which dispel all levels of fear when climbing (walking??)
up the mast to the gaff jaw. It was a great spot for taking photos.
