The Anhinga couldn't open his mouth wide enough to swallow this perch, and finally let him go free, although battered and pierced a bit.

Beautifully done. This anhinga must not be a breeding bird because it has no mating colors on it i.e. the eye lore. Beautiful colors on the poor perch.
