path through to the lakes

Glendalough
County Wicklow

extra heavy frost all over (that day) except along here....
the sun shone on this path which was higher up than another lower one,
both leading to the upper lake.
to the left of this path and centered between the other path across (and much lower down) is the lower lake.
across the lake the frost lay thick on the ground ,
the trees white and heavily laden . all very beautiful,
most especially the little Red Robin who hopped along all the way
(on the frosty path) , so frozen at times that he seemed too cold to fly
